My post called "Payday Loans and Esquimalt" got trolled by a company called 7 Day Loans.
They left the following comment in the comments section:
"We all go through financial crises may be big or small. Sudden money requirement causes a lot of panic and tension. The monetary issues can be handled using the payday loans. These are quick safe and easy to repay. Thanks for sharing the detailed information on payday loans."
Trolling another great example of the standards in the Payday Loan industry.

Quick Update
So a quick update on the theme and future of this blog. The whole concept of this blog is to track my life over the next eighteen months as my partner and I begin our journey to find our first home. In the coming weeks I'll get into that in a little more detail and also talk about why we chose Esquimalt as the community to put our roots down in.
As a political person I've started looking at the municipal politics of Esquimalt and already blogged once about some of the going ons at council. I've also been Tweeting a lot about Esquimalt politics and if you are so inclined you can follow me here: @jsbutcher
Between now and the end of January postings will be few as I will be out of the country on a long awaited vacation.

Payday Loans and Esquimalt
The Times Colonist is reporting (Esquimalt might soon ban new lending businesses) that Esquimalt Council will move to limit Payday Loan business at their meeting this Monday,
I was quite frustrated when this first came up after Money Mart made an application to move in next to McDonalds on Esquimalt Road. It seemed to me that four Payday loan companies was more than enough for a community the size of Esquimalt. At the time the council allowed the application to go ahead but asked for a report on limiting the numbers in the future.
The report from staff has come back and It would seem from Twitter and media reports that the new council is willing to limit the amount of money lending businesses at five.

The Return of the Butcher Shoppe
The Butcher Shoppe has returned!!
Can you hear the silence from the millions and millions of people who have no idea what I am talking about? Or can you hear the half enthusiastic "oh good" being muttered by about 150 people?
Either way it's very early days and there's lots of redesigning to do, but it is back.
